Sep 7, 2011 By the end of 2011, a state-of-the-art $10 million plastic bottle recycling facility will begin operations in Warren, the kickstart of a much-heralded project years in the making. It’s only a metal frame at the moment, but in a few short months, the ORPET structure at the Port of St. Helens-owned Multnomah Industrial Park will be a fully fledged recycling operation unlike any seen in the region. September 6, 2011 Glass recycling makes me sad. I still look forward to the day in Tennessee when we will reuse our glass beverage containers rather than throwing them away into the landfill or hoping they get recycled. Crossville Chronicle
