Description: In anticipation that Rep. Angie Paccione (District 53) may introduce a “bottle bill” in the Colorado legislature in 2005 that would put a refundable deposit on beverage containers, the Colorado Association for Recycling (CAFR) hosted an event titled "Perspectives on the Bottle Bill" on August 13th. The purpose of the event was to educate CAFR members and other interested parties about the pros and cons of container deposit legislation. CRI was asked to explain how bottle bills work and to present the arguments for bottle bills. |
